Happy Kids

Family Fun magazine is my inspiration.  I always find crafts and projects that I enjoy making with the kids.  The kids celebrated their 1/2 birthdays this week.  I intended to make these for that occasion...but we were just a couple days late getting the supplies.  So during our rainy afternoon we made owl cupcakes.  Here are the happy creators...

Although Xander and Declan didn't get to eat anything delicious (well at least not first hand)... they were still quite happy today.  Declan enjoyed his first time in the exersaucer.

A new beginning...

So this is my attempt to start a Blog.  I've never blogged before.  I hardly even Facebook.  Being addicted to Craigslist is an entirely different thing (something I am definitely guilty of).  I like the idea of blogging.  I find that I talk to myself (usually silently) all throughout the day.  Sometimes I am even quite funny.  I figure I might as well write my thoughts down.  There's a part of me that wants to keep my blog private.  It could be therapeutic to have a place to admit all my guilt (like eating the HUGE chocolate egg that my friend left at my house last night or leaving my 4 year old in quiet time for a couple hours with his DVD player for the 4th time this week).  However, I do realize that blogging can be a way for me to share the ups and downs of our life with close friends and family.  It's amazing how fast the time goes.  I cannot believe that my first child is now 4 1/2.  I cannot believe I have been married 7 years this August.  I cannot believe I have been graduated from college for 9 years. 
So here's to a new beginning.  I might as well start now.  I wish I could catch up on all the things I haven't posted.  Any maybe someday when I can actually shower or go to the bathroom by myself (without kids in hand or at foot) I will.  But for now...this is my life....
