I love these two guys. My twins. My dark skinned, brown-eyed, 5 lb heavier and 3 inches taller, with lighter hair Xander. Who loves red, pink, and purple. My light skinned, blue-eyed, lighter and shorter, with the darkest hair in our family Declan. Who loves blue and green. They both love puppies, eggo waffles, smoothies, and Candyland!
Yes, sometimes I can't help myself when it comes to Pinterest. This served a triple purpose - games for at home play, games for our preschool play, and games for Cache's first grade class party. Snowman knock-down and Snowman bean bag toss. We were fortunately to have so many large boxes around (probably from all my online shopping during December!)
My best invention this winter - tying the wiffle balls to the garage door handle so the twins can hit to their hearts content. No running after the balls, no getting the string out from the trees...just perfect fun. As you can see, Declan especially loved it!
I also want you to note how organized the garage is. It's not easy to make 4 spin out bikes, 7 scooters, and 7 bikes look so good!
Easton is a cute pet owner...if only he would maintain the cage! This cute little fluffy guinea pig enjoyed Easton's computer time playing The Oregon Trail.
Time for Easton's 3rd grade music performance. For a school performance, they are actually quite entertaining. The music teacher is black and he definitely teaches the kids to groove during the songs! We sat behind out friends, the Tikalskys, which meant more playing than watching.
The boys on the sidelines 'watching' the performance. The 3 Svir boys and 3 Tikalsky boys.
Easton is on the far left - right above him is Natalie Tikalsky with the curly blonde hair.
I love how they call it the 3rd grade 'Holiday Show'. We also had a school Christmas party that they called a 'Multicultural Night.'
They always display artwork in the hallways for viewing before / after the show. This is the piece Easton displayed.
The cage is a very suitable back drop for this picture!
Yet another happy game of Monopoly and candy canes next to the Christmas tree.
I kind of missed it, but in the center of this picture of our backyard you can see a large antlered deer walking away.
Every year I try to spend less and buy less for Christmas. The tree definitely has less this year, but it is definitely still quite full! The kids will be excited tomorrow!
Merry Christmas!
We let the boys attack this year... a total free-for-all and it went quite well...fast, but happy!
The first thing they wanted to explore further were their giant hershey kisses...such a nutritious breakfast! On the other hand, I had chocolate covered marshmallow santas for breakfast!
Easton got his own huge Lego Castle set. Cache received one last year, so now they can battle on even grounds.
Cache received a huge Lego ship that actually floats in water. He spent 2 days putting it together, mainly by himself (and an adult nearby to check his work as needed).
Still going strong...
Hmmm....what else can we do during Christmas vacation...well a pinata of course! I picked up this pinata at a free swap at church. It is so cool, who would ever want to give this thing away?!
This was the debut of our new fire pit. You can see it in the picture above.
