Hanging Out

As much as the boys would like to be outside all of the time, it is quite exhausting keeping up the twins.  Here are the boys keeping themselves busy while stuck in the house!

This is a tower we keep in the kitchen that the twins love to climb on (and use as tool to climb on all counters).

A bubble party with the best bubbles in the world from Gymboree...

Cache's tower adorned with super heroes...

Create-your-own snorkle with rubber band and straw...

No day is complete without playing in the cupboards...

Our cupboards are like a clown car...the boys like to see how many of them can fit...today's new record...3!

The boys just got summer haircut... a buzz.  It always makes me sad to see their hair go, but it sure is nice to have no spikes to water down!

Our playdough zoo...

A sign of a good day... exhaustion!

Look...Two Wheels!

Cache is officially a big boy.  Potty training was a piece of cake with this kid...he was barely 2.  His true test of manliness was riding a bike with 2 wheels (which wasn't very difficult either).  I admit we slightly cheated... a cool product called a gyro wheel.  You swap off the front wheel for a type of self-stabilizing wheel.  We spent 20 minutes on it one day and he got pretty confident.  The next day we went on a little bike ride and in the middle of the ride, the tire ran out of batteries and he kept on riding!  The third day I took of the gyro wheel and replaced it with his real wheel.  He biked around the neighborhood for 30 minutes stopping by all living people saying, 'look, I can ride a bike with 2 wheels!'.

Chocolate Fondue Party

Our women's church basketball team took first place (not a completely difficult task), so I threw a fondue party at my house.  I bought a second fondue pot so we could  have a cheese and chocolate fondue.  We had a ton of extra chocolate, so our family enjoyed a few extra chocolate fondue parties as well!

April Showers

We have enjoyed a beautiful spring.  We try to play outside every day, rain or shine.  The boys actually love the rainy days...they are amazing worm (and recently, slug) finders!

Here is our clan with a few neighbors...Clayton (8), Carter (5), and Caleb (1)...this is the regular scene in our front yard!

The boys with Clayton and Carter.

Clayton loves to help with the babies.  Of course, the babies love it too!

The twins actually working together...Declan is the master 'pusher' and Xander is enjoying the ride!

We love going to the park...I am learning that the small, gated community parks are the best way for me to keep track of everyone!

I'm sure if the boys had asked me...'mom, can we turn on the water and cover ourselves with mud' I would have definitely said 'no!'...yet, somehow, here they are!

The boys enjoy climbing our tree.  Well, they can't exactly climb it, but they like standing on it.

Declan fell off a little slide in the backyard...which normally wouldn't have been a big deal, except our backyard is dirt and rocks!

Happy Easter

We had a very busy Easter...3 huge Easter egg hunts.  I really think the boys have more candy than they did at Halloween!  Easton is still the reigning egg-finder.  We trained him well and he has exceeded our expectations! Cache is content to find a few eggs and eat them immediately.  The twins were a lost cause, but by the third egg hunt, they actually gathered 5-6 eggs each.

The highlight of Easter for the twins was walking around the house with buckets on their heads.

As always, the boys loved dying eggs.  When Easton was 1 he dumped a whole set of egg dye all over our counters and hardwood floor.  Ever since, egg dying has been a highly supervised activity!
