Christmas! 2013

Well, it's December 16th, 2014 - nearly 1 year after these pictures were taken!  I can hardly believe how fast this year has gone.  I love Christmas time!  Here are the pictures from Christmas and our Christmas vacation...

The boys digging into their Christmas Stockings.

Easton and Cache love these little ornamental balls (with key) that hold secret treasures.

A ring pop at 8am, sure, why not?

Declan is excited that his ring pop is green.

I really tried to simplify (and lessen) Christmas presents this year...the tree doesn't show it though.
I'll try again next year!

I don't usually give my kids clothes for Christmas.  They unwrap them and think, why am I getting clothes?  That's not a present.  But for Cache, the lover of all shorts, I made an exception!

Thanks to a local craigslist posting, a Lego castle (already assembled) and a dragon castle set.

Inspite of David's lack of enthusiasm, Easton got a Rainbow Loom this Christmas.  He loved it.  I loved it (it kept him busy for hours).  Of course his first request was the flower bracelet...the challenging design at the back of the book.  We conquered it!

All in a day's work!

We have a tradition of going to the Botanical Gardens in DC every year.  They have replicas of all the significant buildings made of natural materials as well as a cool train exhibit.

I should get credit for just having all 4 boys in the picture together!

A shout-out to my dad in Seattle!

These little leaf-like sculptures were filled with different scents.

The National Tree.

The Air and Space Museum.

The older boys are really into ice skating.  The younger boys, not so much!

The big boys being so cute with each other.
Moments later Cache crashed and hit his head really hard.  Poor kid.

Ask Cache what he wants for breakfast, lunch, or dinner...crepes!
He ate this meal with his giant Hexbug.

The loom continues!

The twins enjoying a Christmas present in their own way.

December

The boys enjoyed acting out the nativity with our cute little fisher price set.

Just playing a game isn't enough for Declan.
He has to be hanging off the couch while laying the tiles upside down.

Xander had a pretty bad encounter with our driveway.  He insisted on bandaids although I
told him it really wasn't a good choice to put bandaids all over his face...but what do I know?

Declan the magnificent.  Flying from the couch to the bean bag chair.

Preschool time.. making Christmas trees.

Also making gingerbread playdough...so yummy smelling (still tastes gross though).

Xander says, 'look at me, I'm a whale'.  I love that kid.

Xander and Declan loving each other and their puppies.

Cache and his super friend, Ian.

Take 1.

Take 2.  After I yelled at Xander to stop picking his nose.

Declan the magnificent at work again... 'balancing' on one foot!

Baby it's cold out there!

Cache came in after being pelted by a ice ball.

The best snow suit ever.  Purchase price $3 at a garage sale!

Our cool, yet very slippery ice storm.

Sharyn and Xander enjoying a warm meal on a cold day.

We enjoyed lots of good sledding this winter.

Another Pinterest project.
The messy ones are always the most fun (until it's time to clean up)!

The little guys in a such a hurry to grow up and go to school...

Marcy and Xander cooking us breakfast.

Xander fully believes Ramen noodles are the best thing on earth.

T's back.

Let the gingerbread house making begin!

The return of Declan the magnificent and his cup-stacking performance...

I'm thinking of replacing all the couches with inner tubes.

Gotta love our whale!

Cache and our sweet neighbor Emma...they will go to Kindergarten next year together.

Easton the great big brother.

Declan spilled his chocolate milk.  I told him he had to lick it up...so he did!
