September Virginia Beach Trip

There's something magical about the beach.  We have a great time every time we go to the beach.  This September, we enjoyed amazing weather, very few people, and our beloved Marriott hotel room.

After 5 hours on the beach, Cache declared, 'I never want to leave this place.'

Cache's ninja moves...

Four Little Monkeys, resting in a bed...

David took Easton and Declan (the early risers) on a morning beach walk.  They found lots of these horse shoe crabs.  I find them disgusting, but the boys love them.

This picture doesn't do it justice...but among their many differences, is the shade of their skin.

I still don't understand how kids can enjoy a sand-covered snack.

My 5-year old teenager...already blocking the camera.

Cache is showing off his super-ninja snack eating trick..under the legs, in the mouth.

There is always plenty of see-food at the beach!

The boys were getting a little cold, so naturally I buried them.

Time for a scooter ride along the boardwalk.

Easton loves a lot of things about the beach...especially collecting shells and feeding the birds...

I coined this sand castle, 'the nest'.

Easton figured out how to make these sand castle trees all by himself.  He made every single one of these!

Cache was dying to destroy them all.  Of course I threatened his life if he did.
