The twins really enjoy 'helping' in the kitchen. I use the term loosely, because they are anything but helpful! We made several things this month...and it may take my insanity a month to recover. Although, with the exception of the banana bread (which in the midst of the craziness I left out 3 ingredients!) everything turned out well.
Playdough
We discovered the garbage can makes a great stool. Unlike a chair, no one can climb on it by themself and it only fits one kid at a time!
Easton is perfecting the art of being a big brother.
Declan is perfecting the art of holding on!
Aside from cooking, the twins have taken a strong interest in building this month. By strong interest, I mean they stack everything they can get their hands on. EVERYTHING. They stack crackers on the window, cups in the shower, spice containers in the play kitchen. Not to mention the 4 sets of official blocks we have. This is a great improvement from the complete destruction of all towers last month. They have even learned to build a tower together and take turns. They are finally giving me a small glimpse of hope!
The twins being cute - playing in their diaper box.
One minute later...the twins fighting in their diaper box.
Declan has taken a bag of flashcards from my shelf (which he knows is off limits) and has hidden behind the curtain to enjoy his loot.
Another LONG, COLD afternoon. I pulled out some presents from Aunt Marcy - really cute stuffed animal dogs. I love that I pulled out 4 different dogs and everyone picked their favorite...which involved no fighting. It's funny how kids are all different. We decided the dogs needed a home, so we pulled out some boxes from recycling and got to work!
Cache just returned from a pirate party...complete with gold earring and attitude!
Easton had a double-header birthday party today. I loved the cards he drew for the presents.
Enjoying all the goodie bag gifts from his best friend's robot party.
We enjoyed a local community center, Claude Moore, on a government holiday. We started with the rock wall. We promised Easton $20 if he rang the bell. Lucky for us, he froze after about 15 ft. He wants to try again soon! We also enjoyed their indoor water park. The twins were so exhausted they didn't even make it out of the parking lot awake! That's my idea of a good activity.
David showed Easton how it was done.
Chocolate lovers...maybe we are related afterall!
Another disappearing act by Declan. I found him sitting inside a robot box on Cache's bed!
This has been another disappointing winter. A ton of really cold weather and hardly any snow. This sprinkling was gone by the afternoon, but we enjoyed what we could.
Well, I wouldn't exactly say Xander enjoyed it.
