November

I'm discovering more and more things on Pinterest.  This was posted as 'exploding treasure'...
basically a concoction of jello and small treasures frozen into ice cube trains.  A solution
of vinegar and water dissolves away the cubes to uncover the treasure!

No school means we have help!  We love our two friends...Kensley and Marcy.
Without them, many of our adventures would be impossible!
Here we are enjoying a cold, but quiet day at the National Zoo...

This was the first time we've seen the gorillas climbing on the ropes that
cross through the zoo and connect the gorilla habitats 100 yards apart.

This is some prehistoric scary animal.

Xander loving the giant turtle...actually he is just being really cheesy today :)

Declan and Kensley

Easton, Xander, and Marcy

We also went with our good friends, the Macphersons.  Here is Easton with David.

I'm not sure if this is a real or fake gorilla...I think Easton took this picture.

Jacob Macpherson and Cache

Katie wishing she had brought her double stroller...

Jacob wishing his mom had brought the double stroller!

Easton taking a selfie!

Our own zoo! (Thanks Easton for taking the picture!)

Another selfie!

This was my favorite picture Easton took today...this cow is awesome.

We ended the outing with a ride on the carousel.
I think Kensley even rode a naked mole rat.

My attempt to capture the really cool clouds today.

My attempt to capture Declan and Xander being cute...

Their attempt at the hear no evil...speak no evil...see no evil...

One, two, three... Jump!

He kind of blends in, but I love it when Declan watches tv while hanging on the side of the couch.
Looks very relaxing?!

Ok, maybe I helped Declan a little.  He is still proud.

Our thankful tree...

This is how it looks every day when dad gets home...

Have I mentioned Xander has a sleeping problem?  I noticed he was just sitting in his
jeep while Declan played around.  When I got closer I realized he was alseep.  So we drove
him into the garage where he enjoyed the rest of his nap.  Poor kid!

Craft time...building trains.

Declan re-created the picture perfectly.  Xander's was 'broken' according to Declan.

Preschool time.  Creating turkey hats.  Here is our preschool friend Dashal.

Another Pinterest idea...rolling out paint in a bag and mixing colors.  The kids loved it.

Xander's sleeping problem again.  Poor Xander.

Making playdough.

Fun with boxes (until Declan crashed a few minutes later).

The Thanksgiving cul-de-sac kickball tournament.

Cache and his cute lite brite man.  I love it when the kids are creative (and working
on something that doesn't have to involve me).

Happy 3rd Birthday Xander and Declan!
Since they couldn't request anything, I made one of my favorites...
better than sex cake.  Easton loved it.  I told him it was called 'really good chocolate cake'.

The twins presents are a little on the lame side.  When you have two older brothers,
there isn't much more that we need to get.  This giant marble was super exciting for Xander!

My old college rommate, Thamina (we call her T) moved to Virginia.
She plans to spend many Sunday afternoons feeding us and helping us tackle the boys...
thank heavens for T!
