Cherry Blossom Festival 2018!
Why was my mom willing to drive from Florida to Virginia (a 15+++ hour drive in traffic spring break weekend)?!?!?
The answer is simple and quite terrible of me.  I promised her I would take her to the Cherry Blossom Festival when we got home! We arrived home from Florida late Saturday.  Sunday was Sunday.  Monday the kids had off school.  That left us with a quick trip Tuesday...the day she was leaving!  The weather was rainy and cold and we didn't have much time, but it turned out great.  Going on a rainy Tuesday morning had very few people.  We found the first parking spot and hailed a taxi to maximize our time and energy!

The tulips were just starting to come up.

My mom is so cute.

These blossoming tulip trees were very pretty too.

Declan's self-portrait from art class.  He made me promise not to show it to anyone.
I'm not sure what the deal is with the glasses...but it's pretty close, right?

These are the notes the twins wrote to their teacher after returning from Florida.  They are all about Emily and how she is a princess and how they found and fed a lost cat that they named Marshmallow.

Our basement evolves every few years.  We now have hanging swings, a gymnastics mat that works as a pad to protect kids as they wrestle, swing, and fall.  The latest activity has been sumo ball wresting.

The beautiful pineapple I stole from  my bosses house when she was out of town...thank you Harry & David!

Cool Cache.

An interested insole company that is touring Costco's.  You step on the machine and it makes a personalized insole for your foot.  Hope it works!

We don't make it to Burke Lake enough, but we really enjoy it when we do!
The boys biked 5 miles around the lake on this nice dirt path.
Yep, I took these pictures while biking!

This about sums it up....my primary class every time I enter the classroom 30 seconds behind them!

My favorite baby Lindsee!

Lindsee's brothers...jumped on my car as I was driving by their house.

Lindsee is Cache's favorite baby too!

And Easton's!

Our very generous friends offered Easton $10 per visit to take care of their dog = $30 a day for 3 visits.  He was very cute about writing down his responsibilities so he did a good job!

The end of year 5th grade performance.

The 1st Grade Field Trip to historic Oatlands Plantation.

Our traditional dinner, play, and video game time with the Macphersons!

This is my second child to bring home the 3rd Grade cabbage.  My first experience went well, but our poor cabbage got bothered by a lot of pests.  This year, I built it a fortress in hopes of a non-holy cabbage leaf plant!

The first hummingbird of the season.  Welcome back little friends!

Easton's graduation from the DARE program in 5th grade.
