May 2018

May 2nd was David's 43rd Birthday.  The best thing I did was marry a man older than me.  Between that and being the youngest in my family, I always feel young!
Every year, David wants the same cake, Strawberry poke cake!

Global warming is killing me...yep it's 91 degrees in May?

I love my cute Easton in this hat (though he later admitted he only agreed he liked it to make me happy).  Regardless, he will be wearing it this summer to keep his fair skin happy!

All these lights can't be good...help!!!!

LOVE this idea.  My fellow soccer friends have been teasing we should all get them and zip together.  Love those ladies!

Amen!  (Seriously, the allotted recess time is 15 minutes...urg!!! No wonder the kids hate school).
Thankfully this push has now created a 30 minute recess, which is better of course, but not enough.

My new favorite 3 dinners...love you Costco!

Ok, this is what Easton packed in his lunch box for his over night camping trip.

My poor Cache.  Having a child with extreme clothing sensitivities and anxiety is not a joking matter.
One of our biggest challenges is finding a pair of shoes he will wear.  And once we do, it's nearly impossible to get him to try something else when the time comes.  Say good bye to his last pair of shoes...good bye dear friend, you have served us well!

Best trip ever!  My sister, Emily, and I went to visit Marcy (our other sister) in Oregon.  She runs a preschool and let's just say, there aren't enough hours in the day...every day... of her life!
As we helped Marcy organize business bins and her bedroom, she treated us to lunch around town!
I loved as we drove around, we found these cool bike repair stations!

We also surprised our dad with a quick trip to Seattle.
Love the green rolling hills!

And the bridges along Portland.

The steel bridge Marcy was always afraid of as a teenager.  The grooves in the steel kind of pull your tires and I remember always feeling nervous on this bridge!

One of my many pizza's from Mod Pizza...yummm!

The hoarder near Marcy's house.

Emily and I took over Marcy's bed and she slept downstairs on the air mattress.
Did I mention Marcy is the oldest?  She is good people!

We don't see old cars like this where I live!

Yep, the gas attendant.  I miss people pumping my gas.

So pretty.

Unfortunately, due to Oregon's welcoming policies, the homeless are creating quite a problem downtown...both of unsightly 'homes', garbage, and even safety.

Loving Saturdays Market!!!

It just so happened my nephew, Christopher, had a party that weekend for his girlfriend's college graduation.  We surprised him (and my older brother, Adam) with a visit!

Mt. Saint Helens.
(I never got a great picture of Mt. Hood with it's top blown off!)

I'm trying to do more things in life as the kids go to school and leave me with some free time.
David has traditionally cut the boys' hair...but I decided to give it a try and it turned out great!

What happens to those little boys that like to try on your shoes...they become big boys!

This is what we really came for!

We always like the idea of camping with friends, but it's always more difficult than we think!
We had a few great things going for us...the 2 best camp sites reserved and our really good friends coming with kids that basically line up with our kids.

What we didn't plan on was the almost 2 days of non-stop raining.
Sometimes we just piled in our cars and listened to music to escape the rain and the ensuing mosquito attacks!

The last day helped us salvage the experience!
